Knockout CP Freshmart (24-0,9 KO0 defended his WBA Minimumweight title against fellow countryman Wanheng Menayothin( 55-3,19 KO) in Chonburi, Thailand.

The fight was competitive and close over the course of 12 rounds with former WBC champion Wanheng having success in the early rounds. However, it was the combination punching and lethal jab of the champion that secured him the fight. The scores were 116-112, 119-109 and 117-111 all in favour of the champion who bagged his 11 defence of the title.
